Strain Measurements
with optical access in attoDRY toploaders

Applications of strain measurements at cryogenic temperatures
- phase transitions in 2D magnetic semiconductors, e.g. from antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic
- Lifshitz transition of 2-dimensional Fermi surfaces caused by structural changes of the crystal lattice
- apply large anisotropic stresses to correlated electron materials
- Probe quantum materials with uniaxial stress
